deadly weapons

This piece was created in 2022 for a project by Nonstop Timeless, a Stockholm-based film collective and archive that curates, restores and screens rare and cult cinema. Artists were invited to reinterpret selected films from the archive as new poster works.

Originally painted in acrylic on canvas, the image was made into a poster for the film Deadly Weapons, by the renowned film director and producer Doris Wishman.

The eye catching female producer, Doris Wishman, caught my interest. Deadly Weapons is a bizarre sexploitation movie from 1974 about great breasts and revenge. A glimpse into the mind of Doris Wishman was truly a unique experience with a perverted, vintage twist on it.
